Can I use my voice to type the description?

Yes, absolutely! You can efficiently input your detailed descriptions using your phone's native voice-to-text (dictation) feature. This means you don't have to manually type out long messages.

Here's how to typically use it on your device:

  • On iOS (iPhone):
    1. When you're in the Description field of your Project Update, tap into the text area to bring up your keyboard.
    2. Look for the microphone icon on your keyboard (it's usually located near the spacebar or next to the language globe icon).
    3. Tap the microphone icon and start speaking clearly. Your words will be converted into text and appear in the description field.
    4. Tap the keyboard icon (or the microphone icon again) when you're done dictating.
  • On Android:
    1. Tap into the Description field of your Project Update to bring up your keyboard.
    2. Locate the microphone icon on your keyboard (its exact position can vary slightly depending on your keyboard app, but it's often near the spacebar, comma, or in the top row).
    3. Tap the microphone icon and begin speaking clearly. Your speech will be transcribed into text in the description field.
    4. Tap the microphone icon again, or sometimes just pause speaking, to stop dictation.
