Creating Schedule Hierarchies & Grouping Tasks
Managing project schedules for your rehab projects can get overwhelming especially if you are working on large gut rehabs or new construction projects that have multiple phases of construction, months worth of work and many different trades that are working on your projects.
Project-Level Tasks aka 'Task Groups" can be used to help organize and breakdown your project schedules into smaller projects or phases of construction.
For example on a gut rehab project, I will typically create two 'Task Groups' to isolate my Exterior Work and my Interior work separately.
On a New Construction Project, I might have 4 different 'Task Groups' for organizing the different phases of construction including a Planning & Development Phase, Site Prep, Exterior (Shell), & Interiors.
Building out 'Task Groups' allows you to isolate portions of your schedule so you can review overall durations for the major phases of the construction and rehab project.
